Costa Oriel — Design & materials

Honest materials, softened by the sun.

The horizon, held stillHor. 00°

A single, restrained palette runs through every villa — four materials and no more, chosen not to impress on the first day, but to weather beautifully across fifty summers.

Travertine

01 — Stone
Material 01

Cut locally, left honed.

Roman travertine softens the coastal light rather than reflecting it, and carries the warmth of the day well into the evening. Every villa is grounded in it — floors, terraces and the walls that hold the hillside.

Honed finish · local quarry · full-body

Lime plaster

02 — Surface
Material 02

Troweled by hand, breathing.

Hand-applied lime plaster regulates humidity with the sea air and gives every wall a faint, living texture that shifts through the day. No two walls are quite alike.

Three coats · natural pigment · matte

Oiled oak

03 — Warmth
Material 03

One grain, floor to ceiling.

European oak, oiled by hand. Floors, joinery and ceilings share a single grain, warming underfoot as the sun moves across the rooms and darkening gently with the years.

Rift-sawn · hard-wax oil · FSC

Bronze

04 — Detail
Material 04

Made to age, not to hide it.

Solid bronze for handles, frames and fittings — chosen because it gains a patina that marks the passing years. The one material meant to change, quietly, in your hand.

Solid cast · living finish · unlacquered
